Project: Brand Identity, Packaging Graphics

Date: 2012 – Present

Chapul is a revolutionary company founded on the premise of introducing insects as food to the mainstream market – a formidable task in need of smart branding identity for sure. In close collaboration with Pat Crowely, Chapul’s Visionary-in-Cheif, we created a bold logo backed by subtle illustrative textures and colors to give Chapul’s breakout product, the protein bar, a sophisticated old-world explorer look. More Chapul to come…

Project: Packaging Graphics, Point-Of-Purchase Displays

Date: 2012-2013

As an industrial designer, I was originally approached by Yolka Chocolates to design a 3D flat-packable ‘tree’ to display their beautifully ornate chocolate ornaments (pictured in this post below). This final tree display was so beloved, it led to further opportunities to develop branded content for Yolka products, such as the new chocolate matzo bar. Dictated by the large-flat dimensions of the bar, the final package design referenced the small orderly holes found in unleavened matzo crackers, juxtaposed by Tessa Lindsay’s custom Yolka floral pattern – all which done in gold stamp.

The examples shown here are concepts – some have stuck, some have not.

For: Envision Utah

Role: Graphic Content Development

Date: March, 2009

The 3% Strategy was a campaign to raise awareness of local land-use issues and offer a practical solution for the future of balanced and sustainable growth through policy making. My role was to visualize and produce the marketing image and information graphics that communicated the strategy while making it stand out among typical policy initiatives.3percent_inside 3percent_outsideCROP
